Giggles and Sniffles. Whispers and Yells. Cheers and Tears. Raising kids is full of opposites, full of ups and downs, it’s unpredictable, every day, every hour, every moment is unique! I’m mostly a stay-at-home mother of two girls, aged 3 and 4, and the love of my life, my 1.5 year-old son, besides the other love of my life, of course, my husband Jerry. I’m one of those people that have a lot more interests then I can handle. And so I wear many different hats.

Currently I’m teaching Culinary Arts. This allows me to combine my fascination with food, my interest in creativity, with my desire to teach and inspire children. I’ve also recently become involved as an independent consultant with Norwex, an amazing Canadian company that sells ECOCERT organic personal care products and chemical-free microfiber cleaning products. Despite my busy schedule, and after resisting for 6 months, I finally took the plunge. I love the products because they save time and money (the microfiber has silver in it which kills 99.99% of bacteria, can you believe it?!), I enjoy meeting new people, I’m amazed at my personal growth and at the business and technical skills I’ve learned, and I’m thrilled that I’m doing my part for the environment and that I’m making my home a healthier place for my family. I reward referrals and repeat customers and would love to hear from you! Besides this, when the occasion arises, I twist balloons – children just love watching dogs and butterfly’s come to life right before their eyes…from a balloon! I also enjoy nature, scrapbooking (which I don’t have time for), and entertaining. I also babysit my four-year-old sister one day a week, and I won’t even talk about all the hats I wear as a Mom!

I would like to share some tips with all of you, my colleagues in mothering. When you make a meal, double or triple the recipe and freeze it. I can’t tell you how much this has helped me out with three children so close in age. Use an agenda instead of a calendar: on the top I write my grocery list, on the sides I keep my phone/email list etc. etc. I love having so much private space to write everything down (rather than having all these separate lists). And finally, set goals for yourself, get involved in new things, and try to be in contact with positive people: this will give you energy to get through your day.
